Sabrina Edwards spent years battling with obesity, but after finally achieving her target weight, she wasn’t left with the slim look she was hoping for, but with sagging skin!
Her looked when clothed, she was happy with but as soon as she stripped saggy skin appeared all over her body. After dropping from more than 21 stone to 8 stone in 18 months, a large amount of excess akin had appeared.
Now she is undergoing surgery to remove the extra flab from her arms, stomach, breasts and thighs.
A series of operations over the next year will cost more than pounds 25,000, but she thinks it’s a price worth paying to restore her confidence.
The attractive hairdresser from Uddingston, Lanarkshire, is getting married to Scott Hunter later this year. She said: “You obviously want to feel nice in front of your partner and I didn’t.”
Although the surgery will leave scarring, the 32-year-old would rather have scars that fade than skin that sags.
She said: “It doesn’t bother me someone seeing the scarring, but it does bother me someone seeing all that loose skin.”
